Western USA – Apr 2012
We loved so much the previous trip we did that we decided to go for another. After a lot of research, map readings, and some inquiries about road conditions we booked a flight for Denver, CO. We booked a car too, Jeep Liberty, as this time we wanted more freedom to explore the non paved roads. We also booked a Super 8 motel near Denver Intl Airport for the first and last nights.
Right after Adie’s work on Friday 13 Apr we meet at Miami Airport around 6PM. The flight departs at 8:40PM, so we take the opportunity to have a meal at the airport.
After 4 hours of flight we land in Denver, local time 10:40PM, and head directly to the hotel.
Things are only starting…
Here is the rough map of our trip. Some parts are incorrect as we took small trails not available on google map.
In total, we crossed 6 states: Colorado, Wyoming (the state with the smallest population density except Alaska), Idaho, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. The total mileage was about 3,300 miles (5 300km)!
